Columbia Gorge Inspiration

Within nature there is inspiration and with in inspiration there is beauty.

A Winter Morning at Elksfordshire Farm

Welcome to my first blog post. Photography has always been a part of my life and I can't remember ever being with one but since moving to the Corbett area in 2014, it has been inspired beyond imagination. From the basalt cliffs and waterfalls to the beauty of the Columbia River, I am in constant awe of this area. My farm sits in a valley with a centuries old elk trail where in the summer we can sit out in the field and watch the elk travel back and forth. In the fall the majestic Bull elk are in full splendor as they protect their cows as they forage for food and get ready for the trip back up Larch Mountain. The fog and mist in the morning is magical, when it starts to lift and the sun shine, it leave you in awe at the brilliance of nature. Those of us who live in Oregon know of our states glory, there really is not a corner of this state that does give you a sense of wonder and amazement.

I believe the world is incomprehensibly beautiful an endless prospect of magic and wonder.    Ansel Adams

My photography has always been a very personal which I have only shared with my family and friend. It is those who mean the most to me who talked me into sharing my work with everyone. I hope you enjoy looking at my vision of Oregon as much as I enjoyed taking all of my photographs.
